Bilingual tool (French + English) to support emotional regulation and language development around emotions. Designed for speech therapists, educators, and support staff in bilingual or multilingual settings.
The Regulation Zone is a bilingual tool that helps children identify, understand, and express their emotions while enriching their emotional vocabulary. Inspired by the Zones of Regulation approach, it promotes self-regulation, self-awareness, and compassionate communication, which are essential skills for overall development.
Created in collaboration with Melissa Farkouh, a speech-language pathologist, this evidence-based tool can be integrated into speech therapy interventions, in the classroom, or at home.
It is particularly suitable for bilingual, multilingual, or allophone children, allowing them to address emotions in multiple languages and cultural contexts.
Possible uses:
- Working on emotion vocabulary and sentence formation;
- Encouraging the recognition and regulation of emotional states;
- Integrating emotional regulation into language or school support;
- Building a bridge between language and socio-emotional development.
A visual, inclusive, and engaging tool, for a research-based practice adapted to each child.
