Here is a tool to work on the progression of stimulation of complex sounds in children (/pʁ/, /bʁ/, /tʁ/, /dʁ/, /kʁ/, /gʁ/, /fʁ/, /vʁ/, /pl/, /bl/, /kl/, /gl/, /fl/, /w/, /ɥ/, /j/).

It is a kit containing all the necessary materials to stimulate the production of complex French sounds.

The kit is interactive and can be used for telepractice!

Here is our mini speech sound intervention kit including complex phonemes. It contains all the necessary material to work on the sound sequences /pʁ/, /bʁ/, /tʁ/, /dʁ/, /kʁ/, /gʁ/, /fʁ/, /vʁ/, /pl/, /bl/, /kl/, /gl/, /fl/, /w/, /ɥ/, /j/.

The mini speech sound intervention kit contains:

  • A relevant information sheet on the use of the equipment;
  • A summary of the step-by-step progression of sound stimulation;
  • Examples of activities to be carried out with the materials for each stage of the progression;
  • A customizable rating grid;
  • A list of stimuli;
  • Worksheets for practicing sounds in syllables;
  • Word cards containing the sounds in initial, medial and final position;
  • Short, repetitive sentence sheets to practice sounds in initial, medial, and final positions of words;
  • As well as short stories including the sounds in the initial, medial and final positions of words.

This interactive material was designed to provide you with a French-language tool to stimulate children's speech sound production. It allows you to work on the production of each sound in a simple syllable and in each word position (beginning, middle, and end). You can also stimulate the targeted sound in the context of producing repetitive sentences for each sound position in the word. Short stories containing more varied sentences will allow you to stimulate sounds in a repetitive context with varied words, all containing the sound in the targeted position. This speech sound intervention kit aims to help children produce speech sounds by gradually reducing their reliance on imitating adult models until the goal is achieved: generalizing the sounds to spontaneous speech.

*This material should be accompanied by speech therapy follow-up, as it does not replace a speech therapy session.
