Discover all the details of the training
Multilingual and multicultural realities are increasingly present in clinical practice. This training offers a concrete, structured, and practice-based approach to better support families while taking into account their linguistic, cultural, and family specificities.
Led by Melissa Farkouh and Jérémy Périchon, it aims to strengthen your ability to develop a strong parental partnership and adapt your practice according to the reality of each child and their family.
You will discover tools to better understand family dynamics, adjust your professional stance, and recognize certain biases that can harm the therapeutic alliance. The objective goes beyond adapting a few interventions: it is about developing a more coherent, sensitive, and adapted practice to the realities encountered.
Through theoretical content, reflective activities, and analyses of clinical cases in preschool and school contexts, you will be led to develop a more nuanced clinical reasoning and concrete strategies to encourage parental involvement.
This training will enable you to:
- better understand the issues related to multilingual and multicultural contexts;
- adjust your professional stance with greater accuracy;
- use tools such as the ethnolinguistic interview;
- strengthen parental involvement in follow-up;
- intervene with more clarity, coherence, and confidence.
The training is offered in 4 live morning sessions, Quebec time. Access to recordings is also included, allowing you to review the content and integrate the learning at your own pace.
A training course to deepen your practice and intervene in a more humane, rigorous, and adapted way to the multilingual and multicultural realities encountered today.
