Capsule: Professionals in parental support
Share
In this new video, I'm talking about parent-child partnership from the perspective of my practice. It's aimed at my colleagues, both speech-language pathologists and any other professionals working with families who are curious about this approach. I discuss what parent-child partnership is, what it looks like, and what it can bring to families and interventions. I truly believe in this approach because of all the benefits it offers.
I'm talking about the difference between parental partnership and a more traditional approach. I know that establishing this kind of practice takes time and requires parents to be open, among many other factors. But it's absolutely possible for them to work with us on this journey as well.
Furthermore, my colleague, Lorianne Lacerte, and I discuss the many obstacles encountered when adopting this approach and how to overcome them in our workshop “As a Team! Professionals in Parental Support”. You can read all the details here if you're interested : https://melissafarkouh.com/optin-en-equipe-professionnels-en-accompagnement-parental/
