What is "Inclusive Speech Therapy: Support for Bilingual and Multilingual Children?"

A pre-recorded workshop divided into 3 main modules containing sub-modules of 5 to 15 minutes each, to which you will have access for 6 months, for a total of 10 hours of training. The modules include:

  • numerous examples from my clinical practice and those of past participants;

I am Melissa Farkouh

I founded a speech therapy clinic in the Montreal area (Quebec, Canada) in 2012. For several years, I supported children and parents in healthcare facilities, daycares, and through telepractice.

I specialized in:

  • bilingualism or multilingualism in children
  • dynamic assessment
  • parental partnership

Today, I support speech therapists and language development specialists in optimizing their interventions with children and their families. I have trained professionals from Canada, as well as Switzerland, France, Lebanon, and Algeria.

I place great importance on parents' expertise and encourage interventions adapted to the functional needs of each child living with language difficulties.

My approach highlights the importance of the child's environment – indeed, of a village! – in their development.

No, this training is for all French-speaking speech therapists working with bilingual or multilingual clients and who want up-to-date evidence-based data on this clientele

Yes, and you will have access to all materials, including notes for each module, clinical cases, reflections, and numerous tools.
